I was at XOYO last week to photograph Freelance Whales for RaggedWords. They are currently on a co-headlining jaunt around Europe with Broken Records so I photographed both bands. The lighting for Broken Records was challenging to say the least (for the first two songs there wasn't really any!) Luckily it got much better for the headliners, but I still don't get what seems in most venues to be a policy of not lighting any of the support bands properly.
