My second assignment for The Line Of Best Fit was a last minute call up to photograph Bella Union signing Jonathan Wilson, who's 2011 'Gentle Spirit' has been causing a bit of a stir. He was out supporting Wilco on their October UK tour, but I caught him playing an intimate headlining set at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen. Support came from the delightful Omar Velasco accompanied by a cellist (try as I might I can't find out his name) the same guy who pops up on electric guitar in Jonathan's band. The combination of stunning music and beautiful lighting (thanks Hoxton B&K!!) made it an absolute gem of a gig. The only tricky part from a photographic point of view, was trying to get a good angle on the 6 foot plus Mr Wilson, standing on an already high stage.
